Welcome to SLAVIA FC TORONTO!
Slavia FC is a West Toronto based soccer club made up of teams according to age range and skills. We accept players of all skill levels. Although our name is new, we have been around since 2001. We are a proud member of Toronto Soccer Association (TSA) and Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) – Canada’s most prestigious and exclusive soccer associations. We focus on skills training, team building, passion for the game and having fun.
THE BEST OF EUROPEAN SKILLS AND CANADIAN SPORTSMANSHIP
We have two focuses at Slavia FC – to develop good players and good people.
A good player – we subscribe to a very European approach to soccer training, player development and play. We believe that proper skills training at an early age is key - Learn the right skills first then work on the endurance and strength as you get older.
A good person – we focus on team-building and learning to respect coaches, teammates and competitors from an early age. We believe the values that kids can learn in soccer can be carried with them throughout their life.
OUR COACHES ARE ALL PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED
Our coaches are not volunteers but accredited coaches who have dedicated their post-professional soccer careers to coaching youth soccer.
OUR PLAYERS ARE A PART OF OSA'S LTPD PROGRAM
As a registered member of the Toronto Soccer Association, we are privileged to compete and play in the TSA and GTA leagues under OSA's Long Term Player Development Program. This allows our club the opportunity to play with GTA's top players and be a part of the community of other great GTA soccer clubs.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT – Open to kids of all levels
We take an individual approach to training. The focus is to make each child a better player, regardless of their starting point. We teach the philosophy of “competing against yourself”.
WE CARE ABOUT OUR TEAM
We know that as kids that play on the same teams, they often remain friends for life. We foster friendships through teamwork, sportsmanship and building trust.
Our goal is to have each kid leave practice covered in sweat and a smile on their face.
